The Writing Log offers the opportunity to develop in students their ability to produce either fiction or nonfiction texts following the processs writing steps. Students will learn the different writing strategies stated in the CCSS for each grade some of which are similar to the descriptors in the CEFR. Moreover, in this Log, students will develop the ability to write texts based on different genres while using the language learned in the Language Log. Topics in the Writing Log are organized in 5 lessons. These don’t just introduce the different steps to follow in the writing process, but they also help to exemplify and organize ideas for students at the moment of writing. They also help students to carefully reflect on the topic before writing about it. The 5 lessons are: Getting Started, Planning Ideas, Organizing Ideas, Drafting and Publishing.
