The library of the collectors Guita and José Mindlin, one of the most important private libraries in Brazil, is constituted by rare books acquired through almost eighty years. Highlights from UnDisciplined Library of Guita and José Mindlin presents almost a thousand pieces from the collection, divided in two volumes: Brasiliana, dedicated to the books and the documents concerning Brazil, and Beyond the Brasiliana, with foreign books and documents, curiosities, bindings, engraving and illustrations. José Mindlin was responsible for the introduction and the commentaries about the books, talking about their particularities and the history of their acquirement. The tough task of selecting the books to this publication has counted with the collaboration of Elisa Nazarian, Rosana Gonçalves and Cristina Antunes, the collection’s curator. This is a book of great interest to bibliophiles, researchers and lovers of literature and reading in general.
