The objective is to provide comprehensive knowledge-based information on liquid membrane separations, presenting the principles and applications of a variety of liquid membrane separation processes.  The many techniques and technologies are classified and a critical analysis of new technologies and their theoretical background is presented. New perspectives and directions of development in these fields are included.
