This book offers a set of clear responses with tangible results to ten economic and social issues that have become priorities in Brazil and in other countries in Latin America: Education, Health, Employment, Housing, Social Protection, Infrastructure, Tax Reform, Innovation, Foreign Trade and Financial Services. The texts assembled here share the objective of going beyond diagnosis to present concrete proposals for action. Diverse as the issues under consideration may be, their treatment here makes clear the connections between them. Together, the chapters in this book take the form of a conversation, guided by a common desire to help promote development with social justice. The idea of publishing this book took shape during preparations for the Latin American meeting of the World Economic Forum in Sao Paulo.
