All the articles in Protecting the Enviroment are abridgements of articles that have appeared in leading journals in the USA and UK.
Some articles have been simplified to fill the needs os INTERMEDIATE ENGLISH STUDENTS.
Each chapter contains two passages on different aspects of the same topic. 
The articles are illustrated by photographs and followed by a variety of vocabulary development and comprehension exercicies.
